Liberté, egalité, varieté

This was the motto of the Tigerpalast Varieté when it opened, almost 25 years ago, on 30th September 1988 in downtown Frankfurt. The intense public interest in live entertainment – chanson, cabaret, live music and breathtaking acrobatics – continues today. As Matthias Beltz, co-founder of the Tigerpalast Varieté and himself a cabaret artist, announced at the time: “Quality entertainment is a duty. Come and visit the Tigerpalast – it’s the last word in liberté, egalité, varieté!”
